@calisoberquinn: The gray rock technique is a method used to protect yourself from manipulative, toxic, or narcissistic people by becoming emotionally unresponsive and uninteresting, like a gray rock. The idea is to give them nothing to feed off of: no emotional reactions, no arguments, and no personal details. You keep your responses short, calm, and neutral, making yourself a “boring target” so they eventually lose interest in trying to control or provoke you. It’s not about being rude or distant to everyone, just about maintaining peace and boundaries with those who thrive on chaos or drama. #GrayRockTechnique #Manipulation #ToxicRelationships #HealingJourney #CaliSoberRecovery

Yeah man, it’s also a method commonly used by the abuser themselves…just called “silent treatment.” Be careful out there.

It is the most lonely existence you will ever have. Living your life quiet and taking abuse and just no longer saying Anything because it doesn’t matter or will be used against you down the road

This is actually called the silent treatment versus just stating your boundaries, your stance, and properly communicating. What you're talking about is another behavior being used in a manipulative

Yes! I’m on day 3 and I’m fascinated by how long he will ramble on and try to get a reaction from me when I haven’t said a word

Yes!! Did this with my manipulator. He would always end up leaving for his friend’s house and say “he feels wanted there” then the kids are happy enough to come out of their bedrooms and I would have dance parties with them 😂 Bye Felicia!
