I had braces as a kid, some teeth shifted and I noticed that my bite was eventually going to cause me to improperly bite and lose teeth, so I opted for Invisalign. I’m not thrilled about the retainer, but I also want to keep my original teeth when I’m 80. My dad had Invisalign in his 50s and he doesn’t wear his retainer all that much and his teeth haven’t shifted. Hoping eventually I can go down to just a couple nights a week.

I got braces for a second time. I never wear a retainer and my teeth have been fine lol I’m not saying listen to me. I’m just saying you might not have to. Lol

It depends on why. Some bites will increasingly create jaw problems and lead to other issues like migraines. In that respect, a retainer isn’t so bad. But if just a twisted tooth or two? Eh. Call it quirky and move on with your day. 😂
