@builtfromhome: Currently the BIGGEST misconception on social media⬇️ With @C4 Energy #C4partner “You SHOULD shoulder press if you want wide shoulders” 🛑WRONG🛑 Pressing alone is NOT going to be enough. Sure — it activates the side delt… But activation isn’t the same as growth! If you want that wide, capped look — you need abduction, not pressing. This is because mechanically the only way to really grow the lateral head is through shoulder abduction, or moving the arm away from the body — with your elbows leading slightly. This is why nothing will ever come close to a lateral raise 🤷♀️ However — don’t fall captive to repetitiveness because there’s 2 ways to make them better 1️⃣ Leaning in | and chest supported raises The purest form of a lateral raise. You will be mechanically forcing your lateral head to do all the work in the lift = more gains 2️⃣ Upright rows Not unsafe, just misunderstood. These are great for overloading the same abduction pattern but in a different way. and change is… good for your muscles.
