In a desperate attempt to cover up the escalating infighting within Perikatan Nasional — especially between PAS and Bersatu over who should be their so-called “Prime Minister candidate,” Hadi unleashed one of the most bizarre explanations ever heard in Malaysian politics. According to him, PN has not announced its PM candidate “to safeguard their safety.”He went on to claim that revealing the name too early could lead to the person being framed with *gold bars placed in their car*, or *drugs planted* on them. Seriously? This isn’t a political strategy — it’s a bad script from a second-rate drama. Hadi expects Malaysians to believe that PN’s imaginary Prime Minister candidate is hiding from phantom gold bars and invisible enemies. What an insult to the intelligence of every rational voter in this country. The truth is far simpler — and far uglier. PN has no Prime Minister candidate because their internal feuds have gone beyond repair. Bersatu wants its man. PAS wants its own. Gerakan doesn’t even know why it’s there. PN is cracking at its core, so Hadi hides behind laughable conspiracy theories. It’s a tired tactic — the same kind of fear-mongering that has long replaced reason in his brand of politics. Hadi may continue to mesmerize his hardcore followers — those who have long surrendered their thinking ability to him — but the rest of Malaysia isn’t buying it. The rakyat can see through the act. A coalition that cannot even decide on a leader has no business talking about leading a nation.
