I see you: I see that spark of doubt flickering in your eyes, the whisper of uncertainty that clouds your mind,
I see you: I see that spark of doubt flickering in your eyes, the whisper of uncertainty that clouds your mind, "I can't pull this off" "I'll look weird" "What will people say" "I won't be beautiful" Pause. Stop and think for a moment. Let's have a real conversation about beauty, worth, and the incredible individual you truly are. Allah declares in Surah Al-Ahzab (33:36), "It is not for a believing man or woman—when Allah and His Messenger decree a matter—to have any other choice in that matter. Indeed, whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has clearly gone far astray." This is your first truth: when Allah commands, a believing heart responds with submission, not resistance. You're scrolling through Instagram, seeing perfectly styled influencers, thinking, "Hijab looks good on her, but not on me." You've tried it on in your room, looked in the mirror, and quickly removed it. "It doesn't suit me," you tell yourself. "I'll look plain. I'll lose my identity." But sister, what if I told you that you've never truly seen your most stunning version until you see yourself through Allah's lens? Those fears dancing in your mind - "I'm too round-faced", "My hair is my best feature", "I won't look trendy" - they're just whispers from a world that profits from your insecurity. The same world that sells you beauty as exposure, that tells you your worth is in how much skin you reveal. But Allah? He tells you your worth is in your heart, your character, your connection to Him. Remember that job interview you're nervous about? That first day at university? Those family gatherings where you feel everyone's eyes? The hijab isn't a limitation. It's your power suit. It's your professional armor. It's your declaration: "I define myself. My intellect. My skills. My faith." Think about the teenage girl who feels pressured to dress a certain way to fit in. The professional woman who feels she needs to look a certain way to be taken seriously. The young student who thinks her value is in her looks. The hijab becomes their shield. Their statement. Their rebellion against a world that wants to reduce them to a visual consumption. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Modesty is part of faith, and faith will be in paradise. Modesty and faith come together. If one of the two is missing, so is the other." Your hijab is that living, breathing branch—rooted in dignity, blossoming with spiritual strength. Let's talk real talk. About those practical fears: Will people judge me? Yes, some will. But those who matter - truly matter - will see your strength, your conviction, your beautiful soul. Will I look different? Absolutely. Different isn't bad. Different is powerful. Different is you choosing yourself over societal expectations. Your hijab is: - Not a cage, but wings - Not a limitation, but a liberation - Not a burden, but a blessing that says, "My worth is internal" To the sister worried about looking "plain": Your plainness with hijab is more beautiful than any exposed glamour. Your modesty speaks volumes that makeup never could. Your covered form radiates a confidence that filters can't create. This isn't about perfection. This is about progression. This isn't about looking good. This is about feeling powerful. This isn't about hiding. This is about revealing your truest self. Your hijab is a love letter to yourself. A promise to your soul. A conversation with your Creator. Tonight, as you stand before the mirror, see beyond the fabric. See a warrior. See a queen. See a believer. Your worth was never about how much you show. It was always about how deeply you know Allah. Will you wrap yourself in mercy? Will you declare your worth? Will you rise? This moment. Right now. Choose your path, let Allah be your light. Walk the right path, with Him by your side. Let His love reside, in your heart, in your soul, inside. Your hijab, a symbol of faith, a choice you've made, to follow Allah's guidance, in His divine shade. ❤️ #quran #islamicreminders #قران #ياسر_الدوسري #سورة_الأحزاب
