Singh v. Berger already settled this. The military can’t hide behind “general rules.” RFRA requires individualized review. Labeling religious troops “non-deployable” isn’t policy compliance, it’s a violation of federal law.

Cut the crap I'm catholic and I wasn't afforded time on Sundays to attend a mass service at a COP when deployed. We serve in a volunteer capacity now and no one is forcing anyone to serve. If you do your doing it for higher calling then yourself. Don't like the policy then dont serve. This guy is clean shaven because he looks more professional.

there should not be religious exemptions for beards. if you are entering the military, you are entering the military as it is. you do not change the military, you change yourself to fit the military. if your religion says that you need to have a beard then DON'T JOIN THE MILITARY.

The problem that they’re trying to address right now is not the religious beard exemptions for those religions that you were talking about about. The problem is that the loophole that everyone was exploiting was the religious loophole and they are claiming they are Norse pagan just to get a waiver. i’ve spent 12 years in the military and I’ve seen this many many many times where people take advantage of where they can and it f$@ks it up for the people who was intended for.
