My step mom lost her dog and within a few days a young cat showed up at her back door and the cat acts a lot like the German shepherd they lost 😕🙂

Not sure how long you have had her but make sure you give the owners some time to find her if they are looking. Notify your local animal control/humane society and post on as many social media platforms as possible. Very well could be an older person that isn’t as tech savvy

It never gets easier. My Sheldon passed in December 2023 right before my son was born. Sheldon was my baby and I think he was allowing a new baby to enter the family. And my son is obsessed with dogs. I miss him so much but I know he was looking out for my son💙

it comes in waves. we lost my sweet doberman back in January. she was my would dog, and we all have our moments. it gets easier as time goes. you'll never forget them but they help you heal over time

we get stronger mommas. I had my first dog 10 yrs on the dot. she has been gone for 11 years now.... I still bawl my eyes out and scream her name but not its only on occasions that matter. the pain is how you know you truly loved them I feel.

I lost both of my cats within a week of each other 3 years ago and I still cry bc I miss them. We have 2 kittens and they remind me sm of my passed on babies I accidentally call them by the wrong names. Please tell me if it gets better guys

Im so sorry for your loss. I lost my boy back in July. It truly broke a part of me. My husband found a puppy and brought her home. As against keeping her , I gave in. She is so similar to my boy I lost in so many ways but very much her own dog. She's help me so much during my grieving. I truly believe he sent her to me cause he knew how hurt and lost I was. So I whole heartily believe your Faith sent you this new baby to help you. The grieving doesnt get easier it gets bareable. Sending lot of love for you and your family. Enjoy your new member.

It doesn't get easier. you just learn to life with it. I still miss my dog when I'm cutting carrots, apples, green beans or eating a mandarin (her favorite snacks) then I let out a little tear and try to think of all the fun times I had with her

My girl used to visit me after she passed and then we found a new pup and her mannerisms are so spot on with our other pup its crazy and my girl no longer visits me because she is with us in our new pup.

So my dog Winnie passed in September, my son is autistic and his therapist suggested getting another day because of his routines and such. So we went to the shelter and the dog we wanted to see was gone, we were about to leave when they said they had a 5 month old puppy, they haven’t put her on the site yet but would you like to meet her. We said yes and she is a redbone coonhound (our Winnie was a tree walker coonhound) she chose the same spot as Winnie as “her spot” and so many similarities is insane, she was scared of our toddler at first but she is his protector and bestie now it’s insane.. we have a memorial shelf for our Winnie girl though
