Here’s the thing. Mellie pulled away from fitz after she was SA by fitz dad. 15 years of no affection, no love, no intimacy, nothing. Now while I understand her POV, it’s no surprise that he went looking elsewhere which is a big reason mellie didn’t even care that he was with Olivia. And then when he found out what his dad did, he was broken and realized what he had done. Doesn’t make it right bc I am def not a fitz and Olivia shipper, but in the grand scheme of it all, I can see how it happened

MELLIE… she deserved one love story work out fo her.. not smn using her for their own ulterior agenda… she was r by fitz’ dad for her husband yet still stayed and stuck by him .. n yeah i get the whole fitz n pope love story and its epic and im all for it.. but mellie has my heart wholly. She went through so damn much for a man that never looked twice her way once his mistress was around … she stayed till she couldn’t … and even when she left, she left that damn door open still.
