Newest iPhone update, turn on call screening. Any unknown numbers get sent to a digital assistant and they have to say why they’re calling or it’ll just hang out but your phone doesn’t ring unless the person says why they’re calling

If you get a legit answer, I’d love to know. Can’t block numbers that are not in your contacts because some are legit. Like yesterday, my tire place called. I wanted that call, yet not in my contacts.

Put do not disturb on at night, mute phone call notifications and anyone that wants to ring you should message you first and you’ll call them

There are quite a few options. As others stated you can block unknown numbers in iOS but I missed several legitimate calls that way. The new iOS has some new features where a person has to leave a reason for calling you so it notifies you in case you want to answer. Almost all my spam calls stopped bc they never leave messages

log into your provider account, for instance my verizon account has a call filtering feature and has help. there are apps you can download that block and screen calls. donotcall.gov for a do not call registry.

If ya got a iPhone with the new iOS 26 there is a block setting that will auto screen calls for you.
