I went on a trip with film and I was so worried about this I asked for hand inspections every time. I even memorized phrases in Spanish to avoid extra X-ray exposure 😩

My mom found a roll of film in a camera we haven’t used since 2006 and the pictures came out decent, it felt like we found magic:)))

I always develop in whatever country I’m in, I’m in Japan currently and not only is it cheaper here it’s much faster

I’ve slowly been getting films rolls from 2001-2010 developed and they’ve (surprisingly) mostly all come out fine! At worst, several prints have been very faded in appearance, but still viewable. It’s a risk because you might not get anything viewable back and it’s expensive!! But the memories I’ve rediscovered from getting them processed has been worth it.
