as a european, homeschooling feels foreign and weird. how can parents who don’t know the subject matter adequately teach their children? besides, children learn work discipline, a structured environment, and social skills at school.

I said the same thing then when I became a mom and was doing social media AND teaching…it was too much. I knew after taking a leave of absence being more present for my babies was so needed and I NEVER thought I would leave teaching. Also I don’t homeschool even as a previous teacher so anything you choose for your future family IS right!

I was homeschooled and it was mostly positive for me, but then I homeschooled my kids for two years and didn’t love it for them. Sent them to school and they are thrivingggggg they love it so much! I had 3 I was homeschooling at different levels so it was so hard to balance that. I just felt like all my time was dedicated to planning, teaching, and grading. I never got a break or a chance to just be with them the way I envisioned. We get more quality time together now that they are in school!

I had this exact same conversation with my principal! He asked me if I envisioning pursuing teaching/leadership or social media and I told him I could never just do social media cause teaching gives me such purpose! ❤

Fishbowl is really fun so honestly I think you can’t go wrong with that game !! If you’re looking for something new to try, some games I love rn that are easy to learn are One Night Ultimate Werewolf (this one always has everyone laughing), Flip 7 (a current staff fav where I work), and Hitster (a fun music guessing game). I work at a toy store and the last two are newer games! Just some ideas:)
