Oshiroi Baba is a Yokai (supernatural being) target in Assassin's Creed Shadows located in the Nara Heartland area, who is an incredibly mobile and tough opponent that requires players to focus on deflecting and using abilities to defeat her. Story and Background: Grief and Trauma: The real-life inspiration for Oshiroi Baba is a woman named Obaba, who after her husband, Ichiro, was murdered by a short killer, descended into depression and heavy drinking, causing villagers to spread rumors of a supernatural being. Kakushiba Ikki Investigation: When the rumors reached the monk-turned-demon hunter Mamushi, he enlisted Naoe and Yasuke to investigate the yōkai claims in Yamato. Confrontation: Upon finding her at her home, the drunk old woman attacked Naoe and Yasuke, mistaking them for her husband's killers. Resolution: After being bested in combat, she regained her composure, admitted her mistake, and apologized for her attack.
