1 - Look for a pre made pattern and adjust it to your measurements. & pref style — Viki sews has nice evening wear options! 2- make a sample! use a cheaper fabric with the same weight & flow as the actual fabric you want to use for the final product for the sample.. this will allow you to make mistakes and alter without compromising the good fabric. 3 - look into padding out the fourm to your size.. makes it easier for fittings and potentially draping. 4 - look for video tutorial classes…. . best of luck! 🫶🏼✨

If you find a pattern online you can get it printed at staples or ups as one big sheet and it’s like 15 bucks. Darts are your best friend. You can always take in but taking out is a b$&ch. mock ups are always goat. This is what I know from making cosplay gowns. Wedding dress fabric is expensive so I would totally mock up a few times before you fill send. But from experience dresses are easier than anything else.
