I left nursing after 20 yrs, not necessarily by choice. But it’s been 3 years now and was the best thing for me. I didn’t even know how exhausted I was until I got to take a breath.

Sounds like that wasn’t the right unit- like you said.. there is so many areas of nursing for everyone to find their niche - you just have to jump out and find your spot!!

I have been an RT for 30 yrs. I'm glad I didn't choose nursing. Being an RT has been good for me, once I walk out the door, my work life stays there, I don't even think about it anymore. 😁

I think it should be mandatory they provide consistent therapy services. The things you see in the ER, I’m numb after 30 years and agree it’s PTSD
