@habibatunaumd: How to unravel dirty braids, Wash day routine & Hair loss prevention! #washdayroutine #type4hair #4chairclub #4bhair #blackhaircare FAQ: I have been natural for almost 5 years. I have 4b4c thick density but fine strands that break easily. Most of my life I wore a relaxer. I transitioned for 1 year then big chopped twice😅 Protective styles with braids & wigs plus being gentle helped me retain length & density. Of course genetics 🧬 helps too.

M brand tear your hair out. Look it up. It’s even on this platform. It happened to me. My hair came back but the high high protein on it ripped my hair to shreds. A very bad brand. I have pics of before and after and now it has come back but I still have a hairless small patch.

I wash once a week but sometimes rinse/cowash twice a week. Depends on the weather. I lose a great deal of hair weekly detangle. Normal hair loss is 100 strands a day but since my hair is curly/coily it doesn’t fall out, I have to remove it. 700 hairs in one sitting seems average for me. My hair is so thick it’s not even noticeable as new hairs have grown in. I saturate my hair with conditioner to do a deep condition for an hour or two, then shampoo and follow either a leave in conditioner. Usually 2 strand twist for a day or two or do a wash and go that lasts all week. Trim once a month as length is not that important to me. Once hair is dry, can’t do anything with it as it’s just too big😂
