With all due respect, Jesse, I have been told by many therapists that telling your story without showing emotion or crying is a trauma response because everything in your life was minimized by your adult caregivers and people that supposedly loved you the most. It is completely normal to be retelling your story to someone and get emotional during certain times because that actually shows that you have healed. Do you want to know why? Because you finally allowed yourself to feel your feelings. That was what was lacking in my family system among many other things. Lots of love 💝 and respect ✊

I disagree... I'm healed ... but still always cry ... as we always live the story as its real... ...healing isn't becoming numb .... a real tragedy will ALWAYS make u cry
