Despite western opposition, the vast majority of muslim nations have expressed support for how China deals with extremist muslim seperatism in the region. China's attempt at internet sovereignty has, as of recent, been praised by the West, prompting lots of legislation to further regulate the internet and censor it in the West too, even sometimes overstepping a lot of boundaries and civil liberties to do so. eg. the UK's OSA
