A lot of vets don’t actually treat wild animals, I took an injured pigeon to a vet and they euthanised it. Everyone thinks Pigeons are pests and doves are beautiful, wait till they find out they are the same species, same as mountain lion and cougar, same thing.

Pigeons are literally so intelligent, people forget that. Once I was sitting somewhere in the city and a pigeon came limping towards me and sat down between my legs, looking up at me literally asking for help. If I moved, he followed me. I got myself a box and made sure he got help.

I know it’s hard in that situation, but I would call some animal center or something. When I was little, I took a bird to the vet.

I have a summer house in the back garden with about 12 pigeons I ahve rescued once they are healthy they are free to leave but most of them stay
