When I travelled to Spain years ago - Everybody had to put their bags, rucksacks, cases etc.,in a locker before shopping and returned after people had paid the cashier. It wasn’t a problem at all. If it’s for Everyone it is a great idea.

They are not confiscating them,I work in 2 supermarkets and lots of elderly customers leave those trollies by the customer service area as it’s easier for them to do their shopping,instead of dragging it around a massive store.Your headline is very misleading and full of lies.

I scan and bag my shopping as I go round the shop and if the staff want to check it against the receipt at the door they can but there re-packing it too 😂

they just don't want to walk around the store with it so the guard is looking after them, some use hand scanners and pack as they go.
