Part 1 – Phantom Blood Set in 1880s England, the story begins with Jonathan Joestar, a noble young man, and his adoptive brother Dio Brando. Dio wants to steal the Joestar fortune and uses an ancient Stone Mask that turns him into a vampire. Jonathan must learn the power of Hamon (a breathing-based energy) to fight Dio and save humanity. Their battle sets the stage for the Joestar family’s destiny. Part 2 – Battle Tendency Jonathan’s grandson Joseph Joestar takes the lead. He’s clever, cocky, and funny. In the 1930s, Joseph must fight the Pillar Men, ancient superhuman beings who seek the ultimate power. Using his wit and Hamon, Joseph defeats them, continuing the Joestar legacy. Part 3 – Stardust Crusaders Joseph’s grandson Jotaro Kujo, a cool, stoic Japanese high-schooler, discovers he has a power called a Stand — a spiritual manifestation of his fighting spirit. Dio returns (in Jonathan’s body!) and gains a powerful Stand of his own. Jotaro and his allies travel from Japan to Egypt to defeat Dio once and for all. This part made the series globally famous. Part 4 – Diamond is Unbreakable Set in the peaceful Japanese town of Morioh, this story follows Josuke Higashikata (Joseph’s illegitimate son). He and his friends use Stands to protect their town from a serial killer named Yoshikage Kira, who hides behind a normal life. It’s a mix of slice-of-life and mystery. Part 5 – Golden Wind In Italy, Giorno Giovanna, the son of Dio (but with Jonathan’s body), dreams of becoming a “Gang-Star” — a noble mafia leader. He joins the Italian mafia and fights corrupt gang members using his Stand, Gold Experience, to reform the organization from within. Part 6 – Stone Ocean Jolyne Cujoh, Jotaro’s daughter, is framed for a crime and sent to prison in Florida. Inside, she learns to use her Stand, Stone Free, and must stop a villain named Enrico Pucci, a priest who wants to reset the universe according to Dio’s will. Part 7 – Steel Ball Run Set in an alternate universe, it tells the story of Johnny Joestar, a paralyzed former horse racer, and Gyro Zeppeli, who join a cross-country race across America in the 1890s. They use mysterious “Spin” energy instead of Stands (at first). The race hides deep political and spiritual secrets. Part 8 – JoJolion Also in the alternate universe, in the town of Morioh, a young man with no memory named Josuke Higashikata (a fusion of two people) tries to discover his identity amid strange Stand battles and family conspiracies.
