You could read the table… first departure… x12 mins between each bus. It’s the same every hour. How did people not know when the next bus would arrive.

Northern Ireland has something similar which is still being used at most bus stops, Translink calls this system "Bus Trak".

here in france we still have them on alot of bus stops and they even show whats happening on other lines in real time (delays, detours etc)
