No matter how many green initiatives they launch, they won’t address the real problem: overproduction. Reducing output would collapse their profit model, so they keep churning cheap clothes and courting conscious consumers with green imagery, vague language, and celebrity endorsements. The goal isn’t the planet or people — IT’S YOUR MONEY, YOUR TIME, and YOUR ATTENTION. Once you become aware that the latest and greatest trend won’t make you happy and the money spend on the clothing is better spent elsewhere, the desire to shop will eventually dwindle.
