The fact that they jumped straight to the lumbar puncture is so wild. I had the same symptoms/IIH, and just got put on diamox and then had a CT and was going to have an MRI but the diamox fixed things so 🤷🏻♀️A lumbar puncture wasn’t something they felt was pressing at all.

This is so wild to me as a nursing student. If I am even the slightest little bit unsure about something I look it up, ask my coworkers and then contact a doctor if were still unsure. Hell sometimes me coworkers tell me something and I STILL look it up or contact the doctor to be 110% sure. Im so sorry this happened to you

Ugh I’m so sorry. What a nightmare! It’s so frustrating when we do know better than what we’re being told but obviously we’re going to listen to the professionals only to find out they’re wrong 🙃

I feel you, I've had to deal with frustrating consequences of wrong medical decisions in the past too! And I also specifically double-checked in my situation because I felt like what they were suggesting made no sense.

ugh this is like the easiest thing that the doctor could've caught. its the same reason of you're getting checked for gluten infomercial you can't eliminate gluten before the test

It’s really frustrating when we doubt ourselves and our intuition and try to trust the system only to have been right in the end. I remember your videos about the lumbar puncture and it sounded AWFUL. So sorry you went through that but glad your doc thinks she’s on the right track identifying what was causing your symptoms.

God that reminds me of when the doctor said I had to go off all my allergy meds for allergy testing. Days later I call them in agony and they tell me that I can take my meds and they’ll just do a different test
