I'm a retired school teacher and in our district the chaperone could not ride the bus with the students! 2. You were not allowed to take children like that! 3. As a teacher there is such a thing as a headcount! Soo, somebody should have been aware that said children were missing! If you took 20 students on a field trip you came back with 20 students!

The fact still remains….why was the adult allowed to take another child to begin with. Students aren’t allowed to leave without some sort of permission slip from the other parent. The school is responsible for the child until it ends for the day.

Parent chaperones that are chosen to help out ride on the bus with the class. If other parents just “show up” at the field trip, they just follow behind. They are not allowed to take their own kids away from the rest of the class.

When my kids would go on field trips they had to go with the bus and come back on the bus. what she did was wrong but what's worse is the teachers allowing her to do that. and not feeding the other child is wrong on every level. Shes a bad example to her own child not to offer the other child food.

I was a chaperone on my grandsons trip and even though we were going to the same place the child had to ride the bus to the event. I was able to leave with my child after said event but my child only and had to sign him out, was NOT allowed to take anyone else's child.
