Problem is. He shouldn't have Never been a cop, because proper background checks should have been conducted! And He's lying. He know damn well he carried a weapon, when out of uniform. Because here in the state of Illinois, only civilians need a FOID and a CCL, to carry a weapon outside. concealed only! All of us off-duty, sworn law enforcement officers can carry, 24 hours per day. While off duty, and out of uniform. We just have Carry concealed, not openly. (Unless Working Security For A Business) with properly marked attire that says security, police, or officer. No FOID or concealed carry is required. Because a sworn police officer, is always a police officer. Even when off duty. In fact.
