Replying to @Yeaokforsure here’s a little reminder that a lot of undocumented people want a pathway to citizenship. A lot of them are not opposed to deportation, especially if you have multiple crimes felonies. Undocumented immigrants have some of the lowest rates of crime. They just want a path to citizenship into work to not be harassed or their rights to get violated. There’s a way of talking about immigration and more nuance. Since the fact of the matter is that Obama gave a lot of people an opportunity to work go to school through DACA, and while I agree, that DACA was supposed to be temporary until our politicians were made to pass a permanent path to citizenship the Republicans have not wanted to budge on this issue. JOE BIDEN PROVIDED UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS FOR A LOT OF PATHWAYS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU WERE A UNDOCUMENTED PERSON MARRIED TO A US CITIZENSHIP YOU WOULD GET PAROLE IN PLACE DONALD TRUMP GOT RID OF THAT. LIKE WE CAN DISCUSS NUANCED topics but come here in good faith not to spew falsehoods and self-righteous “both sides” propaganda.
