Cheesy Baked Spaghetti You will need: 1 box of spaghetti $0.99 8 ounces of cream cheese $1.99 6 ounces shredded parmesan $2.00 8 ounces shredded mozzarella $2.00 24 ounces pasta sauce (I used Prego italian sausage & garlic) $3.29 Margarine or butter / flour / milk / garlic powder $1.25 each at Dollar Tree If you already have the pantry ingredients that makes the cost $10.27 for 8 large servings or total cost $15.27 if you had to buy everything I started off by making a parmesan sauce for my pasta, to a skillet i added 2 tablespoons of butter and once that had fully melted I whisked in 2 tablespoons of flour. I let that cook for a minute or two before adding in 2 cups of milk and 8 ounces of cream cheese which I cut into cubes so it would melt easier. Once the cream cheese was melted, I whisked in some salt, pepper, garlic powder, and 6 ounces of shredded parmesan cheese. This sauce was looking a little thick so I also added some extra milk to get it to a thinner consistency. I boiled 1 lb of spaghetti, to my liking which is a little more than al dente. And then into a 9 x 13 baking dish I mixed my spaghetti with my parmesan cheese sauce. Making sure that all of the noodles were well coated in the sauce. Then goes on a layer of my favorite pasta sauce, which if you’ve been here for a minute you know that is prego italian sausage and garlic sauce, which already has meat in the sauce. I love this because it saves me from having to buy meat or dirty an extra pan. Lastly goes 8 ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese and then bake this at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool slightly before cutitng and serving and enjoy! #spaghetti #bakedspaghetti #cheesyspaghetti #kidfriendlydinner #familydinnerideas #cheapdinnerideas #whattomakefordinner
