@sbsnews_au: Syria's interim president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, has held his first in-person talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin since forces under his command ousted Russian ally Bashar al-Assad 10 months ago. During the meeting, Putin spoke of the "special relationship" between the countries. Al-Sharaa has said he will honour all past deals struck between his country and Moscow, suggesting he will continue to allow Russia access to its military bases in Syria.
