I heard an interview with sparks and he said he's releasing the book and next year m might is releasing the movie. it their 2 different takes on the same story so there might be some differences but they worked together to come up with the premise

A man falls in love with a woman in an unlikely scenario as life runs astray, the man disappears without a trace. Confused the woman follows a trail of signs left behind by him to only her. It ultimately leads to his grave where he has been dead for 15 years. She then realizes that 15 years ago, the night she thought she forgot was the same night she accidentally side swiped a man walking down a road.... its the man she fell in love with! DA-DA-DAAAA! Or something along those lines, lol. 🤣

Fun fact.. M. Night Shyamalan was a writer for the movie She’s All That. Uncredited and he rewrote a lot of it for what it eventually became but even so… wild.
