ITS BECAUSE IT IS NOT A PROPER FORM OF AN ENGLISH NAME!!! Names cannot have two capitals in them. As every autistic person learns, it’s not how YOU do it, it is how everyone else does it, so CONFORM!

My son is Connor. His Kindergarten teacher corrected it to Conner all the time. Around late September I had a parent teacher conference and she told me he STILL couldn’t spell his name. I said “that’s strange, he spells it fine at home” and then she proceeded to pull out papers where he HAD spelled it correctly and she had “corrected” it. I had to inform her that his name is ConnOR, not ConnER. She looked mortified.

Because the family name Ladue is a common French name and LaDue is a fake name. The anglicized La Due doesn’t mean anything and its actual French translation equivalent would be Le Doux.

I had a teacher do this with my first name. My name is Leamarie and he changed it to LeaMarie all the time. When we had to write his class name and his name at the top of our papers I started spelling his name different every single time. he eventually stopped 😆
