People always say… “You should only have children if you can afford them.” Absolutely not! If that was true, i wouldn’t have any children! And you wouldn’t go to college, have that business, or buy that house and car! You know you can’t pay full price for that car or house but you bought it anyway! Also what exactly does “afford” mean? Breastfeeding is free. Onesies are 99 cents at the thrift store. Diapers are your biggest expense and if you can upgrade your phone and cable, you can add in some diapers. The real question is how many of your needs are actually needs? In America we’re all living in abundance. What an insulting statement to someone that was raised in poverty. Is their life not valuable enough for them to be here because their parents couldn’t give them all their wants? And then finally…if you’re a believer then why don’t you believe that God ultimately is our provider. If he gives a child, he provides for them. We’ve been on the struggle bus financially most of our parenting journey but we never stopped trusting Yahuah. He never failed!
