I make my teens lunch. Not because they can’t or won’t. But because they need to be at the bus by 6:40 in the morning. They both are super involved in sports, school clubs, and are both very good students. They are often at practice or at school until after 9 pm and still have homework to do. Plus, my oldest works part time. So if I can make their lunch and take one thing off their to do list, then I’m going to do it.

I make my sons food (12 &10); but do I also say "You're know where the pantry is" and if they want their favorite dish do they also get to learn how to make it? Did my boys learn how to spatchcock a chicken last night? maybe. 😆 Did i also wake up 20 minutes earlier today to make them cinnamon rolls? Yes. BALANCE. Being a Mom is teaching thwm BOTH sides of the coin.

Listen, they are only kids for a very short time. Make them lunches! Everyone is always old enough to do shit themselves. Cherish that time you can do things for your kids because way too soon they are grown and on their own. Make the damn lunch.

I make my teenagers lunch! It’s an act of love. I also make my husbands lunch. I love to serve my family. It’s one way I show my love to them!

Raising good humans! Kids should be scared of their parents in a good way 🖤 My oldest is 18, first year of college still living at home. I work from home and he makes me breakfast all the time. It’s a great feeling.

There are days I make my 22 year old college graduate daughter’s lunch if I’m home before she leaves for work and I still grab an old Lunch Box Love card from the cabinet and pop it in! It brings me so much happiness bc I thought those days were behind me!

I have made school lunches for 16 years! Their lunch is filled with love and their favorite things. I put in love notes, jokes, bible verses. Someday I will miss it so much. I only have 2 years left since my youngest is a Junior. My other 2 are in college and make comments how much they miss having a cut up apple or my turkey sandwiches. It’s a labor of love.

they are only children for a small portion of their lives.. let them be kids...I'm very much so the same way...but also my love language is acts of kindness so I try to show how much I love them as much as I can. they treat me with care and kindness because I have shown that and kids also learn from example. they help with everything I do. they learn each time they help
