Getting a cerebral vision impairment diagnosis can be confusing and scary. I was so confused. I didn’t understand that blind was a spectrum. And I also didn’t know that you can have perfectly healthy eyes but your brain not process the visual information, making you blind. You can have complete face blindness, but see colour and shadows, or you can see shadows and no details. You Can’t see lots of things at the same time but can see one bold singular coloured object at a time. You Can be completely blind in new places but learn to see some detail in familiar places. It’s a mind feild! The one thing that we have learnt with Ada is that she can definitely see the colour red. And contrast helps her see.
