Thanks for sharing this with us but it depends on the traditional area. In areas such as Paga, Buru, Manyoro and Pungu, right after marriage, there's a rite done for the bride's brothers(Nako Jeim), were a goat and fowls are used to prepare food for the brothers who visit the bridegroom's family to announce that their sister(nako) is lost so they're searching for her and they suspect she's in that house. As part of the tradition, the elders of the groom's family will ask them to wait while they ask the old ladies in the house to see if they're keeping such a lady in the house. If the old ladies confirm that, then the messenger will return to inform the brothers of the bride that their sister(nako) is in their possession and they want to marry her so the bargaining for the things the brothers will demand begins after the confirmation🤣😂🤣. This right is the first after marriage and before *gongna*.
