As a former replublican I can tell you that my Christian faith lead me down the same pipeline. I registered as soon as I turned 18 and stayed for many years because my thinking was very black and white/good and evil. Zero nuance, zero empathy for things or people outside my scoop. Thank God for deliverance from that way of thinking and behaving.

Exactly none of them ever asks how much is their hate gonna cost? Never once stopping to think “Like yeah I don’t like them and they shouldn’t exist, but what is that gonna cost ME?” Hate is devoid of logic, it’s pure raw emotion and should never be the driver of your decisions.
