don't believe the hype :
most helicopter crashes are caused by the fact it's a helicopter

If the tail rotor is so important, why is there no emergebcy tail rotor stashed away for these scenarios... Thinking out loud

it's amazing the engineering that goes into helicopters for the fact they are specifically designed to not shake themselves apart

Tail rotor failure during hover. It’s an emergency every pilot learns over and over again during PPC. Crash was completely avoidable had pilot chopped throttle and lowered collective immediately.

Tired of seeing an airline pilot try to explain everything. Leave it to the NTSB.

the problem is just maintenance issues 🙄 imagine certain helicopters in some countries especially African countries have helicopters that can operate for several years without accidents simply because they take care of them but when it is coming to countries that are developed and make helicopters, there are a lot of accidents why,,,,,LACK OF MAINTENANCE 😡

I’m an Aircraft Engineer (fixed wing), I would never fly on an helicopter.

Why do helicopters crash so often? Compared to airplanes, they seem simply unsafe and poorly designed. It happens constantly.

Why did it crash? I if an airplane can run with one engine when the other is engine dead, why can't that applies to everything on the craft. why did the craft crash

very informative, but why couldn't you get a bolt from the aircraft type in question? why show a typical bolt from homedepot?

This is about as correct as possible as to what part failed. But the real question is why was it not caught during normal maintenance those are supposed to be replaced at certain recommended intervals…🤦🏻‍♂

Wow, that seems pretty weak like a single point failure that’s catastrophic

Why they aren't using safety wire for such a crucial point is mind-blowing

so how is this prevented in the future, other than safety checks before take off? is there new engineering and an improved design that can eliminate that point of failure?
