This isn’t a horror story. 1) if you have the ingenuity to build a Time Machine you can smelt good copper on your own and wouldn’t need to buy the best. 2) even if you found someone to sell you good copper you still need to find a way to thin it down enough and if you think getting good copper is hard how do you suppose to find someone who can build a wire mold without knowing that’s what they are building so you can return to your original home? 3) your real problem is going to be with communication, yes the ancient Sumer had a form of writing- it was only known to people who had to write, and knowing it wouldn’t help you communicate with common people, and we aren’t exactly sure how their language sounded or how the grammar would work through vocal word as that would be different from written word. Again if you can build a Time Machine then you can engineer everything you need, smelt your own copper and repair the wires, however what are you insulating them with? Also as far as wires go you don’t need good quality grade copper you can get by on low grade copper you would just need a thicker wire, now there is also YOU ARE IN ANCIENT SUMER GOLD IS FREAKING EVERYWHERE and it’s easier to manipulate than copper, has less friction so less heat generated and less electricity lost, you still need to insulate it for safety though.
