I've been having this fight in comments. Putting on a costume won't create a new society. "Normal" isn't coming back and it never worked for most Americans anyway. State violence against the indigenous and marginalized goes back 400+ years and is baked into our laws and institutions

I remember in like 4th grade we were learning about ruby bridges and we were basically taught that white people were peacefully protesting her.. But my mom told me completely different, so I raised my hand and gave the real details to my class. My teacher got mad at me and told me to stop talking 😭
