If you must live with your parents, please save your money. I have friends (over 30) that had to move back in & they aren’t saving anything. They’d rather blow their money on eating out & non necessities.

Reality is most ppl make 3k 4k a months ( those are ppl doing good / non advance professional jobs ) across the whole board. Between rent $1k to $2k + plus having a car = not being able to afford anything.

We need to let the children know that the world is real and will chew you up and spit you out. The young adults need to learn it COSTS to do EVERYTHING. I wish the world was more simpler. There wasnt a fee for everything. But now WiFi, Cellphone, Cable, certain apps. Even getting a simple hair do. walk in fee, late fee, wash fee, back in the days there wasnt so many bills

Don’t forget to teach your kids finacial literacy ,budgeting , money management , how to save etc. 🤧 if they going to stay home and save . They need to learn how to be financially responsible and know how to invest .

I don't mind helping them and that's not going to be a monthly thing like including helping them like that grown child is one of my bills... but im not letting no grown child stay with me long term in my 1 bedroom apartment. to come back briefly is one thing to regroup, and don't make that a habit. I downsized to save me money. Its hard for all of us, and we as adults should also teach our children how to survive without us as adults. stop coddling these grown af adults.

My last apartment I had before moving in with my now wife was $550 a month for 1 bedroom 1 bath in a decent area. All I paid was electric and my internet. Water sewer n trash and gas was included
