English Learning Tip: How to Practice English by Yourself Should you learn English on TikTok? I don't know. It's great because it's free, obviously, but it's also filled with people who aren't teachers. Now, I've given over 10,000 lessons on two continents and I've done so over the past ten years, so I'm a teacher. I might not be the best, but I'm not bad. Anyway, if you're serious about learning English, you need a few things. The most important thing is good material. The material that you choose to study with is very important on how quickly and how well you will learn. I offer free material here on TikTok, obviously, I'm glad you're watching, and over on my YouTube channel, so head over there and check that out if you need some more stuff to study with. You can also get my book, Lessons for a Billionaire, which is available on Amazon. Another thing that you need, and probably the most important part, is practice. Now, I know you might live in a place where you don't have friends that speak English, you don't have anyone to practice with, but that doesn't mean you can't practice by yourself. Here are a couple tips to help you do that. The first one is to record yourself speaking on your phone and then listen back. It's a great way to practice speaking and listening, and it'll give you points that you need to work on with your English. The second way is to write a journal, in English, for 15 minutes a day. Simply write about what you did, do it for 15 minutes, and that will help you greatly. The third is, if you're working in a workbook, textbook, or anything like that, read your answers out loud when you have finished the practice or when you have finished a section. This may sound silly, but reading out loud is actually really, really good practice. The fourth one is to shadow movies or videos. You won't be perfect at first, but that's okay. It takes practice.
