My first time having piggies . I thought i did my research. I have two boys sprox 13 months . Peruvian/Abyssinian. They live in a two level enclosure, first level 3 ‘x 7’ and second level 2 ‘ x 7 ‘ They have their whole second level dedicated to timothy hay and a couple water bottles with two mats and two hanging beds on each side. I weigh them weekly , got the confidence to trim their nails , trim their fur, spot bath , check their body weekly . I researched their allowable foods but what i didnt know was even though they are allowable, some shouldnt be given every day . We were given spinach smd parsley daily along with red/green lettuce , romaine, boston , seedless cucumber, bell peppers, cilantro, . We didnt know too much spinach or parsley was too high in calcium snd would cause a bladder stone . I had to rush one of our boys to urgent care yesterday evening because he was showing signs of being in pain , grinding teeth, hunching , high sqauking noise , tender abdomen when toughing tenses. He has a big bladder stone, given pain meds and awaiting till our only exotic vet opens later this morning😞
