I called my kids school at 4pm leaving a message to get back to me in the morning. The teacher called me at 4:30pm. I spoke to her about an incident with my child that was ongoing. She called me back the next morning with what she sorted and called parents, spoke to the kids and set strict boundaries, notified other teachers and principle and it was done and dusted!!!! So not all schools but some need to pick up the slack!!!

I was bullied from the get go and teachers were taking the bullies side and I got in trouble for asking an older friend to help me and I hated school because of the trauma I was put through

It's crazy that schools weren't acting on it this quickly to begin with. There are so many kids who are suffering because their school doesn't care about them. Bullying is very serious and it has very serious consequences.

What should schools 'do'? what is the solution to bullying? it's a he said she said situation and schools have limited resources and scope to make real change. I'd like to know what people see as a realistic response to bullying.
