Recipe below 👇🏼 I love using up what we have in abundance and figs happened to come in bucket-loads earlier this year from Ari’s mum. This batch tasted absolutely 🔥🔥 Ingredients 500g fresh figs (chopped) 150g sultanas 250ml apple cider vinegar 200g sugar (brown) 2 tsp mustard seeds 200ml water 1 tsp salt Method 1. Prep the figs Wash and chop the figs into small pieces. 2. Combine base ingredients In a large pot, add the figs, sultanas, sugar, vinegar, water, salt, and mustard seeds. 3. Bring to a simmer Place over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. 4. Cook low and slow Reduce heat and let simmer uncovered for 45–60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens to a chutney consistency. 5. Check seasoning Taste and adjust salt or mustard if desired. 6. Jar it up Spoon hot chutney into sterilised jars, seal, and let cool. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months (refrigerate after opening). #cooking #figchutney
