They may have not learned the lesson you wanted, but serval learned the lesson of empathy and compassion towards other. Something that is hard to teach.

The parents at my school had such an issue with this because they stated, “you were not there, how do you know what happened?” So my school caved and I couldn’t do this 😒 so… again the school not holding my kids accountable when I was trying to. These are high schoolers.

Yes! I do the same thing (paychecks). Your JOB is to follow the rules, be respectful- just like the real world. My kids can’t share their checks in my class though. 😀. They can donate to a whole class savings account that they have to vote on to spend. Susie needs 6 dollars, let’s take it to the people and see if Susie actually needs it. 😂

my 2nd grader decided to act like a queen when she had a sub. she pit her feet up on the desk and had kids waiting on her. she was the only one being bad. she lost extra recess for a week at school and lost all electronics at home for 2 weeks. she also could not go outside for 2 weeks. there is no reason for them to act up for a sub
