My Brazilian great grandma was black, she married a white man because she was surrounded by so much racism and didn’t want her futures children and grandchildren ect to suffer. I am a result of this 😭

Studies using genetic testing have found that many Black Brazilians have varying degrees of European ancestry, with some estimates suggesting around 50-60% European genes.

I still remember a certain rapper saying she didn’t need black women bc she had her Brazilian fans… girl according to American race identities over 50% of Brasil is black, you can’t separate black and Latina

Exactly, so much so that in Brazil we have much more complex layers regarding Brazilian racial identity and how the black population itself is seen and looked at in Brazil, also how we create laws and organization for the black population, I wanted to know if in the USA there are laws of care and protection for black people or does the mixture end up being a very complex problem within the USA ??

So, for you, the fact that interracial relationships are not prohibited in Brazil is racism? Brazilians date people of any ethnicity and race; there are no ghettos in Brazil like there are in the US. I am mixed race because my parents love each other. Get lost, man.

Yes I talk about this a lot. Latin America as a whole had a Caste system where the goal was to “clean the race” by whitening it. While in the US it was complete rejection.

I think United states took the segregation too long . Thats why todays we still feel soo strong the separation . Even black people dont open for white. No metter if you with their cause or not.

not necessarily, every state is different how racism, segregation and all that, if you go to the south in brazil, black mixing wasn't really a thing and you will see, but Rio yes Rio didn't it the way you are explaining z go to northeast it's completely different also

Understand that in Latin countries segregation existed but what was promoted the most was to “clean” your genetics meaning have kids with white people.
