I stopped caring about people stealing when I worked at a grocery store. This lady asked me to watch her baby(toddler) as she grabbed things long story short I seen the lady walk out with a basket full of food. Majorly baby food and things for the kid. She came back in and was stopped by the security. She was taken upstairs and I was working on a customer who lucky had a big order. Therefore I print out the long receipt and ran upstairs to the security office WITH the baby. Asked for the lady to give her, her baby. When she reached for the baby I also was like and I believe you left your receipt, the baby was holding on to it. Grab her hand and left. When security claim the seen her walk out with it. I remind them how they're particular shift just started therefore he couldn't have witnessed anything and if a report were to be file the previous security officer must write it. That actually worked and I got her out of there. Seen the lady two hours later after the security left for break and a completely different outfit. This time she was grab food for herself and diapers and stuff for the baby. we made eye contact as she was stuffing the diapers and I DEADASS turn my back and blocked the aisle. That made me realize then that not everyone was out stealing JUST to be stealing. For some people that's literally at the moment they only option. Therefore no I would not tell on him. If I know you're stealing out of survival, you have a non snitching alley right here.
