According to the Alexandria Police Department, the incident happened around 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 14. The suspects, dressed in eerie costumes, can be seen on camera pounding on doors, rattling handles, and shouting terrifying threats. “It’s either you come out or we come in,” one of them yells, as another adds, “Your worst nightmare.” A third voice follows with, “I see you… open the door.” At one point, homeowner Shayla Whiteside told Storyful she thought it was a Halloween prank, until it escalated. “They tried forcing the front door open, jiggled the handles, broke down my backyard fence, and tore through the back screen, screaming threats, saying that they will kill us and that they were coming back,” she said. Police Chief Tarrick McGuire called the incident “a very serious matter,” saying the trio “began to act as if they were engaging in a prank” before it “turned serious as they began to make threatening and alarming comments to the family.” In the video’s chilling final seconds, one of the masked suspects is heard saying, “We’ll be back.” No one was injured, and as of Friday, Oct. 17, no arrests have been made.
