I grew up with a father like that. My darkness goes deep even though I don’t engage in the lifestyle. Most people don’t understand how deep we can rationalize to survive.

Left my sons dad who was DEEP in darkness… now me and my son aren’t invited into certain “rooms” because of his dad is. They don’t want us to bring the darkness to their homes. I don’t even know how to get new mom friends or date civilians. 😭

This is how it feels as a multiple time abuse and grape victim as well. I’m not the perfect victim people want me to be. I had to learn how to survive the hard way and I do not feel safe around people who can’t or won’t do whatever it takes to make it out alive.

I find this is also true for a small town ex-addict!! You will always be alone once you choose not to be around addicts the people that have never known that lifestyle keep you at bay!! Just in case you might relapse or somehow rub off on them. I know it’s not the same but it sure feels like it most of the time!!

As a child whom was trafficked from 9-12, I definitely can relate. I’ve got the letters, too! AuDHD, PTSD, OCD and my personal favorite; EDS. You’re our faithful leader, in this band of crazies. As the Mad Hatter says, “… all of the best people are”! Rock on Alicia. (How do you spell it? I love that our names are similar) I love mine, but tell everyone to just say Issa. It is Anïssa though. 💋❤

Too bad you can’t use that majority of knowledge for good such as protecting children. You aren’t a villain you are an antihero and should be celebrated. You can use knowledge for helping others in a way the legal system won’t.
