Thats 100% a bobcat. I’m not sure what state you are in, but you should see if you are allowed too keep it. Most states that allow you to keep them require you get a permit

That’s definitely a bob cat. As much as you probably want to keep it and if it were me I would really want to keep it too. It’s probably better off if you reach out to a wild life professional to let them care for it so it has the best life possible.

we had a bobcat for years when I was a kid...he was like a big housecat...until he wanted the couch all to himself...I watched a lot of tv sitting on the floor

If you keep it, make sure you read up on local laws so they dont take it away. And once its bigger id recommend an air tag collar or something, they like to roam, but normally come back if you took good care of them when they were young. (Picture is of my grandpa in the 70s.)
