I see there is a strong case of recency bias in the comments. Either that or the people actually saying that cs2 is better never actually played csgo or are only commenting on the graphics. Mechanically speaking or on the engine level cs2 is an absolute wild card. You can't even expect a small degree of consistency when shooting while stationary in that game. It's ripe with exploits despite being on a newer engine, anti cheat did not improve either and has LESS than half the content of csgo. It wasn't without it's problems but csgo was a much tighter and consistent experience and cs2 has a LONG way to go before it's close to it.

csgo perfected the 2010s early 2000s fps era, it felt like gmod but a 5v5 counter terrorist vs terrorist game. and i loved that, but with cs2 you can tell they are pushing a narrative they don’t know how to make 💔

Its not just nostalgia, go play csgo and feel how much better it is, feel the movement, the gunplay, the accuracy, the way you always know where ypur character is and will be. Cs2 is a shell of a great game. They killed a king only for a prince with only the appearance to take its place
